Ingredients

  • 20 pcs of taupok – cut a slit
  • 1 carrot – chopped
  • 250g minced pork
  • Chopped spring onion
  • 1 red chilli – sliced

Steps

 
  1. In a big bowl, add minced pork, carrot, spring onion, season with 2.5 tbsp of light sauce, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, pepper. Mix well then add ½ tsp of corn flour and mix again.
  2. Stuff the above filling into the taupok
  3. Pour oil into wokpan. When oil is hot, fry stuffed taupok till golden brown.
  4. Remove and place on kitchen towel to absorb oil.
  5. To make the sauce, mix 1 tsp of beanpaste, pepper, 1 tsp of light sauce, 1 tbsp sugar + 50ml water in a small bowl
  6. Add 2 tbsp of oil to wokpan, saute 2 cloves of sliced garlic & chilli then pour the sauce in + 1 tsp of dark sauce
  7. Add taupok back into the wokpan and add 150ml of water, let it simmer for about 5 mins till most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  8. Plate and garnish with chopped spring onions and it’s ready to serve
